Buck up

I don’t know what it is about this year, but my Facebook news feed is full of friends complaining that they just can’t get in the spirit this year, they’re sad, life is rough, etc.  Now, as you know if you’ve been reading here much, I can whine with the best of them, but not in this season.  The darkness is fading, light is coming, people you pass on the street smile and offer you a greeting of the season, cookies are baking, packages are tied with a bow.  What is there not to love?

Whatever your holiday choice (they’re all clustered here for a reason, you know), please put a smile on your face, go outside, smell the fresh air, offer a smile and a greeting to the next person you meet and get your holiday on!  You are the only one who can make yourself happy.  Do it . . . because I said so!  And, because if you’re naughty, Krampus might come and get you.  ;D  Oh, by the way, this is not Krampus.  If you don’t know who he is, visit the Grimm page.yule

  1. Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a New Year filled with happiness, good health, and prosperity. I too, have been smiling and wishing Merry Christmas to fellow shoppers and been met with scowls and no response. Where did the Joy of the Season go? My husband is from Bavaria, so we know about Krampus! LOL I do love the picture you put up. Best wishes! Sara
