I got a baby quilt loaded today and did part of it. The stitching’s okay, but I think it will be better when I get the encoder wheel on there properly. I hope the new one arrives soon.
I dried pears, I gave the kitchen a scrub, and when I sat down in my chair tonight, I figured it was high time I finished my first magic loop sock. Here is my first sock done with magic loop, top down. Pattern is Wise Hilda’s Basic Ribbed Sock and the yarn is Imagination from Knit Picks, color Wicked Witch. I figured they were so me!
I really like this yarn. It’s soft and cozy and the colors are so vivid. They don’t really show up that well in either my photos or the photos on the Knit Picks site. The pattern is fairly easy to do, but it doesn’t have a cuff at the top and I think if I make these again, I’ll improvise and put a cuff at the top. The ribbing will probably keep them up, but they are a bit loose. I’m off to get the second sock cast on before I go to bed. Hopefully, I’ll have a nice pair of warm socks before the cold weather really sets in.
