Such a social butterfly

Ozzie and I headed to Tualatin on Friday for a visit with Auntie Ronda and Max and Sophie.  What fun!  While Ronda and I worked on quilting my jellyroll challenge (my rusty quilting on her machine – oy!), Max, Sophie, and Ozzie played till they dropped.  I think Ozzie is just getting his energy back today.  For the past few days he’s only been up to eat and potty — the rest of the time he’s been snoozing.  He got his booster shot last night and has gained 1 lb, 3 oz since our first visit to the vet two weeks ago.  Here are some shots of the three amigos.

Ozzie here – just in case you think I had all the fun, let me show you what mom and Aunt Ronda had for breakfast on Saturday morning!  You’ll note that off to the left there are a couple of treats for me, but I couldn’t stop moving long enough to enjoy them!

And, when we got back to Eugene, it was time to go out to Aunt Ginny’s for her birthday, where I got to play with my cousin Bugsy.  He’s a Boston Terrier.

We had a great weekend, but boy! — we’re TIRED.

EDITED:  Ozzie closed the “update” button before I got a chance to tell you all that if I win the lottery, I’m getting a Gammill.  Wow – it took me a while to get a feel for the machine, since I’ve been doing nothing up SID for a long, long time and I’m rusty, but what a nice QUIET machine.  That reminds me, I need to call APQS to find out how to turn that dang BEEP down!

I’m so BUSY!

Hi there.  My name is Ozzie.  I came to live with this lady in Eugene and she’s got me on such a busy schedule, I have to nap a lot.  We get up each morning and go to work.  I find this very boring.  We sit in a little room, where I get to play with toys while my mom works on a big machine with a big screen on it.  She pays attention to that screen, and sometimes I feel neglected, so I pick my toys up and run down the hall to the big office.  There are two ladies who work there who give me lots of love, plus lots of people come in the door, so I get to meet all sorts of new friends.  Some of them have shoelaces, and I love to bite and pull on those.  Mom always comes looking for me and, when she gets to take a break, we go for a walk out on the quad, walk around the sidewalks on campus (you should see all the people I meet there!  they think I’m the cutest).  Mom also throws the ball for me in the hallway and I am learning to fetch.  I don’t like to play fetch outside, because there are too many sticks, bees, acorns, cigarette butts, and smells to research.  I have no time to pay attention to the ball!  Anyway, Aunt Ronda wrote to Mom today and said Max and Sophie want to see some pictures of my face, so we’ll post some here.  I’ve also asked Mom to include some action shots of me doing a good fetch.

Mom says this new camera  is just the best.  Once she figures out how to use all the fancy things it does, we’ll have even fancier pictures.  Of course, it would be nice if we took them in nicer settings.  Mom works in a nasty old building.  Thank goodness it’s a holiday weekend and we get to stay home!

So much to learn

About puppies and about new cameras to take pictures of them!  Ozzie and I are getting along great, except when he’s trying to bite my ankles off.  He gets so excited when I tell him he’s a good boy that he goes a little overboard with joy.  I try to substitute toys, but he doesn’t always go for them.  Fortunately, we can always take a time out in the kennel.  I think he gets a little wild when he’s really tired too.  Just like a baby.

Today we played a lot at work, met lots of new people, then we went to meet our cousin Bugsy at my brother Ted’s house.  We also got to meet Phoenix, my sister-in-law’s niece’s baby.  What a cute little boy!  He just loved Ozzie.  Some pics:

I absolutely love this new camera!  The pictures fire so rapidly and I don’t have any problem with shake.  I should have gotten one of these long ago.

Off to sleep for me and one pooped pooch!
